While Sculpture by the Sea is having trouble staying put, our collection of sculptures and temporal works at Eden Unearthed include their own ‘washed up’ works.
Marina DeBris has a collection of works on display, as part of her “Beach Couture: A Haute Mess” work, all made from rubbish collected along out waterways and beaches.
Some incredible pieces including an outfit made from tennis balls and dog poo bags collected at the local dog walking park, to polystyrene cocktail dresses from fish and chip containers and coffee cups.
Out in the garden, the rain has caused our own high water troubles in the reservoir, with Jonathon Bolitho having to ‘go fetch’ his work “You are Mostly of Water” (below) when rain filled the tank and the floating installation ‘went overboard’!
Luckily all is back in place here and the exhibition will be open till mid March, but these stunning outfits will only be “on parade” till the end of November…so don’t miss out.
