As it Happens…Art in the Making

Linda Cox is a horticulturist and natural history artist enjoying a residency at Eden Gardens.  Her various works will be on exhibition at Eden Gardens, where many of the images have been drawn and inspiration has been gleaned.

My residency experience at Eden Gardens has been such a positive experience.  It was an opportunity for me to take inspiration from the beautiful surrounds and produce sketches and lead-up works to culminating in a series of botanically inspired etchings.  I also enjoyed the opportunity to talk people about my art and I look forward to sharing my work with others during my exhibition at Eden Gardens during December.”

Come and see Linda at work while she finishes off some of her samples.  Her exhibition will be on show throughout December, with unique prints and cards for sale. Cox will be located next to the café, and can answer your questions or sign pieces on Fridays and Saturdays, and her original works will be on display till the New Year.

Cox finishes her final year at University in Newcastle shortly, where she has been under the tutelage of Trevor Weekes, who created the Eden Tree and is presently working on Adam and Eve, in the Grotto Garden.  Weekes is also exhibiting Jewels in the Sky  as part of Eden Unearthed.
