Come Take a Sip, Hugo Do

Hugo Do is a design at TAFE who moved to Australia from Vietnam and has managed to follow his dream here of studying interior design.

He took inspiration from the lower level kitchen garden with its gazebo structure, and decided to reintpret this into a tea garden, set for a ceremony.  He has reused some of the site’s black bamboo, and stunning vermillion coloured fabric swathes to create a Japanese Tea Garden, equipped with entrance gate, hanging windchime and so forth.

Hugo belives tea ceremonies are a way people can communicate and participate in one of the most beautiful things ever created by mankind; a zone where one can escape the business of life and relax with this simple ritual.
